“Buckle up, start your engines, and take a ride through the place that brings together and binds together, and holds together men and women of all persuasions. Clemson is an unusual place…no doubt. From the hairpin turn at Tillman Hall, to the highspeed straight of Death Valley. From Lake Hartwell to the reflection pond, This race... is unusual, you get one shot, 4 years, To make the most of it. Each Driver will have their own experience, filled with many different roadblocks and shortcuts in their time here. There will be crashes, victories, and a crew too support you along the way. But you, and only you can enter this race.
Every year, at the end of the race, after the fans, and past drivers have returned. There is a celebration, one that words have no value to express, except a moment for the students, alumni, and community members to share for years to come. We come together to celebrate this place and the people that make it. We spend years studying on this racetrack…, and years studying what is has done to us, yet no one person can quite describe the effect it has on us. We don’t know what else to do, so we rightfully boast in our traditions that embody Clemson the best. There will be student performances, athletic teams, special guests, and even a musical performance to end off the night, with fireworks illuminating the sky. All of this, in Celebration of the place where this race never ends.
Friends, maybe you have already spent your time on this track. Then you know how it is…The prize for winning is not desired, it truly is the journey that brings us together, and the mark of “who shall separate us now” that is inscribed on everyone, student and alumni alike. So, join us racers, in a photo finish, for the greatest pep rally in the nation, Friday October 31st, 2025.
